The team of the NGO "Charitable Foundation "Support Wheel" reported on its work in 2023–2024
On November 27, 2024, the team of the charitable foundation “Support Wheel” will summarize its activities over 2023 and 2024 and outline development prospects for the future.
The "Support Wheel" Charitable Foundation works for the benefit of society, contributing to the resolution of various social, medical, and economic issues. With the support of partners, sponsors, donors, and volunteers, the foundation raises funds to provide medical and military equipment to those in greatest need. It creates conditions for the rehabilitation and further adaptation of Ukrainian defenders to civilian life and fosters a new conscious generation of Ukrainians through cooperation with educational and cultural institutions.
The foundation began its volunteer work in 2022 with the mission of supporting war victims, orphans, people with disabilities, and wounded Ukrainian defenders undergoing treatment and rehabilitation in hospitals and in need of various forms of aid.
In collaboration with the “Goodwill project” Charitable Foundation, the "Support Wheel" amusement park festival was held in Vinnytsia during the summer of 2023 and lasted about two months.
Over half a million UAH was raised, used to purchase and deliver medical supplies and food to a rehabilitation center. Additionally, air conditioning systems were installed in two sports halls, a specialized outdoor sports ground was built, and 5 DJI MAVIC 3 drones were donated to military units.
The organization officially obtained its legal status in September 2023 (Director: Ihor Liubovskyi). The team consists of 10 members working in three main areas: support for Ukraine’s Defense Forces; assistance to medical and rehabilitation institutions; and cultural, educational, and sports activities.
During the Christmas and New Year holidays, thousands of residents and visitors of the capital enjoyed rides at the VDNH complex thanks to the foundation’s support. Military personnel rode free of charge, and creative teams from Vinnytsia participated in the folk-ethnographic celebration “Maslyana” at VDNH in Kyiv, with the event aimed at raising funds for the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
In November 2023, 12,000 tulip bulbs were planted—purchased at the personal expense of volunteer Ihor Liubovskyi. The initiative was joined by employees of Vinnytsia's “Zelenbud” utility company, city and regional council deputies, children with disabilities, military personnel, and concerned local residents.
In April–May 2024, the nationwide cultural and educational project "Support Wheel" was held in Vinnytsia to support the social rehabilitation of military personnel, children, internally displaced persons, and those affected by the war in Ukraine.
The foundation also took patronage over the Vice-Admiral V. Bezkorovainyi Naval Lyceum (Odesa), organizing a number of career guidance activities in Vinnytsia schools with the participation of lyceum representatives. Cooperation memorandums were signed between the lyceum and schools No. 12, 22, and 34.
With the foundation’s financial support, renovation works were carried out in the lyceum’s sanitary facilities and communal areas.
The foundation also promotes sailing in Vinnytsia region, making the sport accessible to the younger generation and creating opportunities for learning, self-realization, and participation in competitions—nurturing future Olympic champions.
In August–September 2024, at the personal invitation of the Mayor of Ternopil, Serhii Nadal, "Support Wheel" organized Ternopil City Day and a cultural-educational project in the National Revival Park at the Singing Field.
A cooperation memorandum was signed with “OrtopedServisCenter”, a rehabilitation center for defenders of Ukraine. The foundation purchased a ceiling lift system (GH3+) and an active rehabilitation module (including a dynamic module) for the center.
Over 2023–2024, approximately two million UAH was spent on charitable initiatives.
The "Support Wheel" team remains actively engaged in helping servicemembers and their families, victims of terrorist attacks, and individuals in need due to health issues.
